V-Twin TV

The crew from V-Twin TV came to our shop and spent 3 days & 4 nights filming, interviewing and gettting to know us. During that time, we built this bike.

The "company car" as we refer to it, has a unique style. We started with the PP100 motor for torque & style. It breaths through a Mikuni 45 carb and Speedlines air cleaner. The frame, which of course we make in house, was sand blasted and powder coated clear to give it a shark skin effect. The tins were hit with a grinder, making swirl flames in the raw steel. Our logos and designs were etched into the steel using a dremmel tool. We very slightly airbrushed the etchings to give them some depth. Kind of like we tattooed the tins.

To add to the bike's refined raw look and give it a racier feel, Dar used scotch bright on the polished aluminum and chrome. The 40 spoke wheels were custom made for this project, along with the seat (which has a brass seat pan), the throttle linkage, tag bracket, and many other parts. The grips and foot pegs are solid, machined brass. To keep it clean, we ran an internal throttle and used a sproter at the rear. The pipes are our own hand built, race tuned step pipes. They have been ceramic coated to help the motor produce more horse power and cool quicker. They sound like no other.
