We build Awesome Original American Motorcycles.
We started out with no intent on becoming a preeminent brand in the motorcycle industry.
We just had a modest goal to build the "above average bike for the average Joe".
We continually strive to improve every aspect of our bikes & business. We have
no interest in becoming the biggest or flashiest of bike builders. We simply strive
to be the best. We are a Federally Licensed Manufacturer, listed with both the NADA
guide and Kelley Blue Book.
Our philosophy... If better is possible, good it not enough.
As Darwin Motorcycles has evolved, so have our bikes. We proudly build Uncompromising
American Motorcycles, aka Brass Balls Cycles. We partner with the best companies
using the highest quality, mostly American made components. Each Brass Balls Cycle
is hand crafted personally for each customer. We limit the number of bikes built
each year to ensure the highest quality, while also preserving the prestige of ownership.
Philanthropy
We support the American workforce and salute the American soldier. Each year we
build a bike that is used to raise moneys to support our troops. In 2011 we built
the RLX, a bike honoring Bobby Rahal's storied racing career. The RLX won the World
Championships of Custom Bike Building (production class). We raffled the bike with
all proceeds going to support our troops.
Our charity of choice is Pros For Vets.
We have created a program called "Operation Re-Cycle Gratitude", where we take an
older bike, restore or customize it, and then give it to a deserving Veteran. If
you have an old bike that you would like to donate to this cause, email us at evolve@DarwinMotorcycles.com.

The guy behind it all is Dar Holdsworth. Here is a bio on him and his start in the
crazy world of bike building.
Bio: Dar Holdsworth
Who is Dar Holdsworth? A guy with a dream and desire to build amazing motorcycles.
Dar is a guy who's life did not expose him to bike building early on. Dar spent
his adolescent years in an orphanage. He was adopted during his teen years and joined
the Air Force after high school. Shortly after returning from Desert Storm, Dar's
time in the military had expired and he was moving on to a career in printing and
manufacturing displays for the retail industry.
Prior to Darwin Motorcycles, Dar started and operated a successful Visual/Design
business, providing signage, displays and fixtures to the retail industry.
Dar loves, lives and breaths bikes.
Dar was a customer of Racing Innovations, collaborating on and helping build a few
bikes with Sam Wills. While building a bike for his dad (who adopted him at age
16), Dar approached Sam with a business proposal to design and build bikes together,
"To offer the above average bike to the average Joe". Sam knew Dar was not going
away and had it in his blood. He accepted and the rest is history.
Like many others, Dar did whatever he could to earn a fair living, be a great father,
husband, and provider. He had his ups & downs, and as life continued on, his
dreams got pushed aside.
Through the support of his loving wife Latrisha, the good fortune to know Sam as
a friend and bike building mentor, and the pure desire to do what he truly loves
(bikes, bikes, bikes) Dar created and operates Darwin Motorcycles.
